The practical training of welders as „International Welder“ in the GSI is based on the guedelines of the International Institute of Welding (IIW). It comprises the practical training and theoretical education of welders with examinations according to DIN EN ISO 9606, respectively.
The practical training of the participants aims at welding of trial and test pieces as well as the teaching of knowledge of the processes, the material behaviour and the relevant standards and safety regulations. The practical training provides the participant with the comprehensive capabilities required for the practical work in manufacture or assembly.
The international standards DIN EN ISO 9606 provide a system for testing the skills of welders for defined scopes of validity. They serve for assuring the quality of a defined activity.
The IIW-guidelines offer a combination of comprehensive, theoretical education and practical training supplemented by examinations and tests including welder qualification.
Where else? Who can?
Within the training of welders there are manifold special areas and special regulations, respectively not ruled by the international standards DIN EN ISO 9606 alone or requiring special, additional skills and knowledge.
These are fields of welding the GSI can offer its competence in a special way.
Concerning all questions on practical education we recommend you individual advice in a GSI institute nearby.
