Heinz M. Klein (QMO of GSI), presents the certificate of appointment to the deputy QMO, Karina Sydekum.
With effect from April 1, 2015, Mrs. Karina Sydekum was appointed as the Deputy Quality Management Officer (QMO) at GSI. In this function, Mrs. Sydekum will support the QMO at GSI (Mr. Heinz M. Klein). In this respect, Mrs. Sydekum will principally deal with the accreditation of measures according to the Accreditation and Authorisation Ordinance for Employment Promotion (AZAV). In addition to the application for measures according to AZAV, she will be partly responsible for the quality management at GSI.
For this purpose, Mrs. Sydekum will also assume responsibility for the joint processing and execution of corresponding internal audits.
Therefore, GSI also has a considerable interest in measures which possibly exceed the federal average cost rate. The Federal Employment Agency (BA) reserves the right to consent to such measures, in the sense that BA must be incorporated into the authorisation of corresponding measures.
At present, the list of the GSI measures which are authorised according to AZAV encompasses not only the practical courses, e.g. International Welder, but also the specialist theoretical courses on offer, e.g. Welding Engineer (WE) and Welding Specialist (WS) etc.
Since April 2008, Mrs. Sydekum has worked as a Project Manager at GSI Niederlassung Bildungszentren Rhein-Ruhr, amongst other tasks, dealing with the description of international measures, the application for and execution of EU projects and the accreditation according to AZAV.
