Within the framework of a programme of ongoing education for managers which was implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Carl Duisberg Centres (CDC), a group of Chinese executives visited the SLV Duisburg branch of GSI on August 24, 2015 under the motto "Fit for Partnership with Germany".
In addition to an insight into the portfolio of GSI's training and further education, GSI presented its extensive services and available ranges of services to the Chinese guests. The introduction to GSI's branch GSI SLV Kunshan in China attracted particularly great interest.
The multifaceted utilisation possibilities of welding and testing technologies were introduced in a tour of the training workshops and laboratories for non-destructive testing (NDT).
Because of the great interest of the executives (amongst other fields, from the construction sector and the producing industries), they made use, after the tour, of the possibilities of exchanging opinions directly and holding frank discussions about their welding technology ideas.
The programme of ongoing education for managers which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) is coordinated by GIZ and is predominantly oriented to smaller and medium-sized enterprises abroad which are interested in economic cooperation measures with German enterprises. As an international personnel developer, the Carl Duisberg Centres are being commissioned with the implementation of the programme of ongoing education for managers.
