The Indian guests were looking forward to a typical Berlin snack.
On April 9, 2015, an Indian delegation visited the SLV Berlin-Brandenburg branch of GSI. At the request of iMOVE (International Marketing of Vocational Education), SLV Berlin-Brandenburg provided the Indian guests with insights into the field of training and further education, including a tour of the workshops and the laboratories. The highlight of the visit was the impressive demonstration given by Dipl. Ing. Steffen Risse from the Friction Stir Welding (FSW) division.
The Indian group encompassed participants from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and representatives of Indian companies which were interested in the German training system and very much in technical training occupations.
During iMove Network India in Berlin, the representatives of Indian firms introduced themselves with their business fields and their needs for cooperation measures relating to vocational education. The framework for initiation discussions and targeted approaches was set after discussions (amongst other topics) about the potentials of the Indian education market. Linking points which GSI wants to pursue together with potential Indian partners with regard to welding technology will be the subject of a report here too in due course.
