With this motto, the specialist conference on the development of welding simulation took place at GSI SLV Duisburg on October 21, 2014. Although in the German language, over 80 participants from all over Europe and a few visitors from the Arab region congregated in Duisburg on the occasion of this conference.
Lord Mayor Volker Mosblech greeted the visitors, some of whom had travelled from afar, and presented a fantastic argument in favour of our city of Duisburg by the Rhine.
Knowledgeable information and vehement discussions were available about methodical approaches, developments and utilisation possibilities. Under the guidance of the compere Heinz M. Klein, it was always interesting to follow the committed discussions.
It was already nearly a matter of course that all the renowned manufacturers presented their sophisticated products in an accompanying exhibition.
Another interesting event was an accompanying welding contest on the virtual machines in which the winner took one of the newest mobile phones home with him.
Thus, the visitors retained not only the memory of an exciting and interesting day but also the knowledge that the welding trainers will be an indispensable constituent of training in the future.
