Representatives of NAKS - the National Agency for control of welding technology in Russia have visited the SLV Duisburg on April 28th, 2014. The aim of the visit was the continuation of regular consultations between NAK and the GSI on training and testing of welders and welding supervisors and training and testing in the field of nondestructive testing.

This was the first time that NAKS delegation had the opportunity to get to know in detail the work of a welding teaching and a research institute in the fields of education, technology and research.

As part of the Japan Welding Show consultations were carried out with other representatives of the international organizations on current issues such as the implementation of ISO 9606-1 steel welding certification tests and the certification of companies according to ISO 3834, with also possible areas of further cooperation with these organizations were discussed.
