Inspections

On behalf of natural persons (private customers) or legal persons (companies and authorities), GSI carries out inspections worldwide with its highly qualified and experienced engineers and technologists.

Inspections always have the objective of making a binding statement about the conformity and/or performance of, for example, materials, products, installations, plants, processes, working sequences or services. In this respect, inspections may be made from the planning right up to the completion and also thereafter, e.g. during the entire service life.

In order to come to such a statement, every inspection is decisively based on the expert interpretation and final evaluation of all the established results.

Particularly whenever the comprehensive expert evaluation is included also according to general criteria, e.g. in the form of expert reports, the customers appreciate the extensive competence of GSI's employees.
 

Inspection personnel 

Our inspectors are regularly called to our customers in order to solve the most diverse problems for them with innovative approaches. Thus, extensive monitoring and testing measures are taken efficiently with the utilisation of ultramodern testing technology. 

Not only qualified personnel, e.g. welding coordinators according to IIW/EWF guidelines, but also personnel on Levels 2 and 3 according to EN ISO 9712 for non-destructive tests or also FROSIO-certified coating inspectors are deployed depending on the order. 

Of course, additional engineers from the fields of materials and corrosion science, corrosion protection, process engineering or also dimensioning are available to the inspectors for support purposes in order to interpret and assess the established data.

Independence and impartiality

As an independent institute, GSI offers a wide spectrum of the most diverse inspection activities.

Due to the independence, our inspections are basically rated as impartial. Thus, we can render our services as an Inspection Body A with reference to EN ISO IEC 17020.
