The necessity of welder qualification tests relates to assuring the quality of welding work which is carried out by your employees. The deployment of certified welders is stipulated in many sets of rules, e.g. in DIN EN 1090, the Machine Directive, the Pressure Equipment Directive etc., or sufficiently qualified personnel is demanded within the framework of the product liability and by the client.
Welder qualification tests for manual welds with the autogenous, manual metal arc, MIG/MAG and TIG welding processes are required, for example, for components made of steel or aluminium for tank structures, steam boilers, civil engineering, bridge and hydraulic structures, pressure equipment, ships, pipelines, rail and road vehicles, wind energy installations (onshore and offshore) etc.
The object of the qualification test is to prove the manual skills and specialist theoretical knowledge of the welder.
Moreover, we are happy to ensure that any additional stipulations, e.g. building site conditions, mirror welding etc., are complied with.
Note:
So that we can guarantee a smooth sequence, we are asking you to get in touch with us in good time before the execution of the welder qualification test.
